Crypto startup obtains broker-dealer license to operate legally

There is, however, a catch: Bitcoin cannot be supported. The clearance, according to Prometheum Ember Capital, a New York-based company created in 2021, enables it to act as a certified custodian and safekeep digital asset assets on behalf of individual and institutional clients. The company sees it as a significant step in establishing the legal framework and permits necessary to eventually allow its parent company, Prometheum Inc., to offer cryptocurrency trading to customers.
