SEC Intends to Dismiss Enforcement Case Against Coinbase

Amid the ongoing overhaul of the US crypto policy and one of its key agencies, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reportedly intends to dismiss its enforcement case against the Coinbase cryptocurrency exchange. Indeed, the agency has agreed, in principle, to drop the lawsuit, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal. The decision is now only pending the approval of key commissioners but could signal yet another turn toward embracing the asset class for the Trump administration. Moscow has previously banned the use of crypto pay domestically. In an interview with Radio Sputnik, Anatoly Aksakov, the Chairman of the State Duma’s committee on the financial markets, stated: “We have introduced a bill that allows [people] to engage in legalized mining .
